Global health and well-being is in crisis and no single country is prepared or equipped to tackle the cause alone. Leaders are tackling these unprecedented, often global complexities in an isolated way, isolating the public sector from innovation in the private sector, isolating health from other sectors with which it necessarily interacts, and isolating individual countries from their global counterparts. Such disconnected leadership prevents the spread of innovation, best practice, and solutions.
We lack the space, skills or intention to do what is necessary and urgent. Leaders of tomorrow will inherit these historical challenges without realising the great strength of the Commonwealth and wider Global community
In this moment of global turbulence, investing in health and well-being to enable the flourishing of all people is more urgent than ever. We have an opportunity to bring future health and public sector leaders from throughout the Commonwealth and wider world together at His Majesty King Charles’ (HM) home in Windsor Castle in June 2024 to establish the foundation of a global/Commonwealth learning and doing network for the next generation of leaders.
